Nida Yasir and Nadia Khan are two well-known Pakistani morning show hosts and close friends. A few days ago, they landed in controversy when Nida Yasir openly criticized delivery riders on her show. She said that delivery riders purposely don’t carry change so they can keep extra money. She also added that she always makes sure to arrange the change so the riders get delayed on their next delivery. Nadia Khan, who was also on the show, said that she prefers asking restaurants to send the card machine for payment.
Nida Yasir’s harsh comments upset many delivery riders, and they demanded an apology. Recently, Nadia Khan also advised Nida Yasir to apologize for her remarks.
Nadia Khan said, “I know Nida very well; she is very kind-hearted and sympathetic. Sometimes things happen, and you say something that unintentionally hurts others. You don’t even realize what you’ve said. I was there too, and I think her statement was misunderstood. She genuinely feels for people. Yes, such things can happen — you say something that may upset others — but I know her; she has a big heart and will definitely apologize for it. It happens when you are hosting a daily show and constantly talking. It was just a casual conversation between women. She will apologize. We didn’t expect this much backlash, but she will not hesitate to say sorry. It won’t make her any less of a person.
