Ace actress Navin Waqar recently appeared in a show in which she bought many issues to light. Navin Waqar also criticized the female characters and portrayal of perfect girls in our dramas. While talking on the issue she said:
“We need to change the mentality of people when we are portraying a woman” Navin continued “If you are showing a girl that she is too perfect, you know I look at all these plays now and there are all these amazing girls who are doing amazing work but they are not able to show full potential because everyone is playing the same character. A good girl, not getting married, or if she is getting married then she is not getting married to the boy of her choice. So there is the same thing constantly and the only purpose of a woman in our society is to grow up and get married. We need to stop showing women like that. It’s soo irritating because I cannot relate to the woman on-screen”
“We can show another aspect of a woman that how important it is for a woman to be educated. She has to raise children. What she is teaching to those children. She is giving them the knowledge of this world. Why can’t we show women in this light? I have a lot of issues”
