Navin Waqar is a famous Pakistani television actor who gained timeless fame through her negative character, Sara, in the hugely popular TV serial Humsafar. Her other notable drama serials include Saya e Deewar Bhi Nahi, Kuch Na Kaho, Paristan, and 101 Talaqain, where fans admired her acting skills. Navin Waqar is currently receiving immense praise for her drama series Case No. 9, which is gaining popularity among television viewers.
Recently, the actress appeared on Geo TV’s popular show Hasna Mana Hai. During the show, she opened up about the ending of her character Sara in Humsafar.
When asked, “What would you advise someone who, in real life, takes inspiration from your Humsafar character Sara who committed suicide?”, Navin Waqar replied, “It’s a great question, and we discussed this recently. At that time, around 14 years ago, things like this were not considered a major concern, but even then I raised my disagreement on the script. When Sara was attempting suicide and harming herself, I had serious issues with it. I was of the view that she should have been helped by someone and heard properly. There are red flags around us, and we need to be attentive towards others. They could have sent her abroad or done anything else to her character. I disagreed with it, but it was written that way. However, my message now is that self-harm is not okay. Life is Allah’s precious gift, which should not be wasted on anyone. Spend time with your loved ones who genuinely care for you.”

She further added that once two elderly women stopped her after the success of Humsafar and started shouting at her because of her negative character Sara. They scolded her and told her to leave Asher and Khirad alone.
