Congratulations are in order as Nobel laureate and activist Malala Yousafzai surprised everyone on Tuesday night by announcing her marriage with Asser Malik. “Today marks a precious day in my life,” she wrote in a Twitter post. “Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small Nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families,” she announced, asking people for prayers.
Right after Malala broke this news on her social media account, the audience was quite curious about the relationship between both of them before their marriage. The couple kept their relationship private but after some digging the audience found out that the couple have known each other since 2019. Asser had shared a group selfie on Instagram of him cheering for Pakistan at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, UK and Malala was with him then. In fact, he has posted pictures multiple times.
