Scrap Fest is an event which was originated as a scrap metal artwork competition, but now it has grown into a full art festival that focuses on up-cycled and repurposed artwork. Also, the festival features eco-art booth vendors, family activities, live music, food. Now, it can be called a Canadian origin LGBTQ event. This year, the festival is all set to take place in Karachi, Pakistan. Canadian origin Pakistani Singer Urvah Khan is hosting the event it will feature trans and underground performers. In Pakistan, Maria B is quite vocal against it and she first started to condemn Scrap Fest. Public is also angry and saying that the strong actions need to be taken against the ScrapFest which is here to destroy the identity of Muslims and other religions. They said, ‘we should raise voice before it’s too late’. People are saying that scrap fest is a threat to all the religious teachings as no religion preach this, they are saying that it is heartbreaking to see rapidly rising trend of LGBTQ in Pakistan. Event like “ScrapFest” being organized openly in Karachi is alarming. They said that the Muslim Ummah will be answerable before Allah on not raising voice. They urged public to raise their voice against it before the LGBTQ activities spread like wild fire. The social media users urged the Government to look into it and ban the Scrap Fest .
