Talking about how fathers should be with their children, Yasir Nawaz said, “A father’s bond with his children should always be cordial and friendly. Some people are very strict with their children. One of my cousins, Anas, is very strict at home. Once, I went to his house, and everyone there seemed scared before his arrival, saying, ‘Oh, father is coming,’ as if some strict or evil person (Jallad) was coming. Fathers should be friendly with their children.”
He further added, “There should be a certain fear of the father. My father was my friend, but at the same time, I was also afraid of him. You have to show your anger to your children at least once so that they know you can be angry or strict, but most of the time, you should be like a friend.”
Nida Yasir also said, “As we have one daughter, Sila, it is very easy for her to get her wishes fulfilled. She often takes advantage of being the only daughter, while our sons find it more difficult to get their wishes fulfilled.”
