Well, recently the news of actor’s comeback is doing rounds on Instagram. The actor has also posted the teaser of his upcoming drama on his Instagram. Hamza Ali Abbasi said, “happy to introduce you to the captivating world of our upcoming project Jan E Jahan”. He announced the news on his official Instagram post along with the details of the drama project.

According to the details, Hamza Ali Abbasi will be doing the drama serial named Jan E Jahan. It will be a grand production of 2023. The drama will be produced by ace producer Samina Humayun Saeed & Sana Shahnawaz under the banner of Next Level Entertainment Productions. The story of the drama is written by Rida Bilal and it will be directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. The female lead of the drama is not yet revealed. Pakistani drama content has been getting a lot of criticism lately for showing toxicity and abuse not just by the audience and critics but from within the industry as well. Actors are over showing the same sort of negativity, saas-bahu sagas and women falling for abusive relationships but that is the kind of content that is being made again and again and it, unfortunately, gets a lot of ratings as well. One such drama that recently was trending every week was Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi starring Danish Taimoor and Durefishan Saleem.

The drama portrayed a girl who ends up falling in love with her stalker and kidnapper and yearns for him all her life after his death. Many people were appalled by what was portrayed on screen and now Yasir Hussain has also criticized the drama. The actor was a guest on Freiha Altaf’s podcast where he spoke about what was on his mind.

Yasir said that though our films are censored so heavily but that is where the audience decides to watch the content when they buy tickets but in dramas, people are being trained and information is being programmed in them for free. A drama where a guy who snatches a girl away from her father is shown as a hero and the girl falls for him in the end.

Sunday is a day for weddings in Pakistan especially when the weather is great. Though the winters are about to end, wedding season is not yet over in Pakistan and many of our favourite celebrities are either getting hitched themselves or celebrating the union of their colleagues. Last week we saw Hum TV producer Umer Mukhtar getting hitched and it was a star-studded affair. Viewers also liked the lesson oriented ending of the show but still many of the viewers didn’t agree to the typical ending of the Pakistani dramas in which an evildoer is always shown as mental in the end of the story. A few of the viewers objected showing wrongdoers as insane in the end. They loved Anum and Faraz’s happy ending. A few viewers questioned about Anum going with Faraz even after divorce but in the drama Faraz just gave him one divorce. Well, people liked the ending of the drama. They said that it was a simple drama which gave a social message but unfortunately it didn’t get popularity like other dramas. People liked the Talha Chohour & Sarah Khan’s acting. They said that the drama has given a lesson to the people who are involved in interest businesses, which harm them eventually in life and hereafter. Pakistani television is experiencing a new trend with short series being debuted on channels. After Yasir Hussain’s Aik Thi Laila, we are getting to see Sar e Rah which is not only a limited series but also an earth-shattering concept. The series has big names like Saba Qamar, Muneeb Butt, Sunita Marshall, Saboor Aly and Hareem Farooq attached to it. The concept is breaking stereotypes and everyone is giving his or her best making the series a big hit among the masses. The latest episode 4 focused on Muneeb Butt aka Sarang Shabbir’s story who is an intersex individual.

His track had contributions from Nabeel Zafar and Javeria Saud. The story showcases the importance of acceptance, education and how a parent can make or break a child. Muneeb not only had to go through changes in his demeanour to portray Sarang on screen but also had to go through physical transformation. He looks very different from his usual self and revealed some important prep points about his character in his latest Vlog. He shared that he was not offered this character but he himself talked to the director that he wants to take this on. Pakistan is a post-colonial country. Our elite is inherited from the pre-colonial era and they are mostly the same lot who used to write Dogs and Indians not be allowed outside buildings. As the elite is what harbours culture portrayed in popular media generally, Pakistanis always tried to be more western, adopting their language, culture and even outfits. Anyone who could not speak English is termed “paindu”, a derogatory term. Many of our artists are also seen saying “We don’t speak Urdu well” as they feel it is some sort of achievement on their part. In regular households, too many parents encourage their kids to speak English. The same was noticed by Netizens about Saba Shah aka Aizal from Farq.

She shared in an interview that she is very “burger” and cannot speak Urdu well. Though she is brought up and schooled in Pakistan, she could not speak her native language well and her friends also used to mock her for this.

Though these two nations are always fighting, online gaming brought two people from these countries together and a match was made on an online Ludo app. The girl is Iqra Jeewani from Hyderabad and the man is Mulayam Singh Yadav from India.

Iqra and Mulayam met through online ludo and later they planned to bring Iqra to India so they can get married via Nepal. Iqra is 19 years old and when they met online two years ago, she was a minor.
