But for one baby girl, the case was the total opposite as she took her first breath in the courtyard of Masjid Al Nabawi.

A woman pilgrim in Masjid Al Nabawi started feeling contractions while she was present in the Holy Mosque’s courtyard. As soon as she complained of experiencing pain, people called the emergency health services for help. But the woman was in active labour and the baby’s delivery had started as soon as the team arrived.

There were specialists in the team that arrived and helped the woman in labour. A healthy baby girl was delivered soon after and both the child and the mother are doing fine as reported by The Saudi Gazzette.

The year 2022 has been very difficult for the people of Pakistan as internal and external factors have cause extreme inflation in the country. This has caused problems not only for the lower and middle classes but many people from upper middle class have also been crushed. The political instability and what followed after it has caused many moments of sadness and darkness in the country but what can never be reversed is the brutal targeted murder of famous journalist Arshad Sharif.

Arshad Sharif Shaheed comes from an army family. His father was a Naval officer and his brother was a Shaheed from Pakistan Army. Arshad Sharif’s mother had to see her husband and elder’s son’s burials in one day and now she has lost her second son in a brutal way. Arshad’s has left behind his five kids who are too young to bear this heavy weight and pain.

Arshad Sharif was a brave journalist and he stood by his ideals till his last breath. He had to leave his country and he came back in a coffin. Shaheed’s daughter has written a letter for her father and when the video came on Arshad Sharif’s YouTube channel, Pakistanis cried with the words of a daughter in pain and are asking for justice to be served.

Pakistani dramas generally revolve around love stories of people in their teens or twenties, evil mothers in law and sisters in law and the famous sisters rivalry. The dramas are seldom about anything else and the same content is being repeated over and over again. So, Pinjra has come out as a breath of fresh air between all the stagnant content. Pinjra has shown how parenting is a difficult job and how wrong decisions of parents effect children.

Pinjra was written by late Asma Nabeel who also the wrote the famous Khaani. She however, could not complete the script and cancer took her away from this mortal world. The actors in the drama including Omair Rana, Hadiqa Kiani, Sunita Marshall and all the child stars have made it a must watch with great lessons for parents as well as children. Sunita Marshall shared that the drama has left a long lasting effect on her too.

Adnan Siddiqui has recently expressed his views on the National Anthem which has been performed by Shehzad Roy along with regional Musicians at Lux Style Awards. The musicians added additional instrumental music to enhance the anthem. Adnan Siddiqui thinks that the musicians have disrespected the anthem by adding additional music into it. Here is what he said, “Is it appropriate to take creative liberties with our National Anthem, which was composed to instil in us patriotism and remind us of our nation’s glory? Does our Constitution permit anyone to improvise/remix the Tarana in the guise of creativity? It’s always played in the original rendition at matches, tournaments, other state functions. At a famous award show, artists however, fiddle with the National symbol and possibly get away with it too. Personally, I find ‘remix’ of the Tarana disrespectful. Thoughts?

Today, Iffat Omar’s viral debate from programme Superover made waves on social media in which she was having a heated discussion with ace actor and host Ahmed Ali Butt on his question regarding political affiliation. Ahmed Ali Butt highlighted Iffat Omar’s previous statement in which she said that she will give vote to Bilawal or Nawaz Sharif but she can’t vote to Imran Khan ever.

To this, Iffat Omar got extremely angry and replied with a louder tone, she said, “Is this even a question?, Obviously, who will vote for Imran Khan, he has destroyed the country, have you ever seen this much chaos before, everything is ruined? This was a one on one debate and Ahmed Ali Butt was continuously cross questioning and asking the situation of Pakistan before Imran Khan.

Ahmed Ali Butt asked, “there was more chaos and unrest, there were long Marches conducted by Pml N and Ppp. For you, I’m omitting Imran Khan from this political scenario, now, tell me what would happen to Pakistan, would it be fixed?, what do you think was happening before Imran Khan? there were the same people in government, what were they doing, now that I have excluded Imran Khan, tell who will fix this, tell 3 things which were better before Imran Khan?This kept on going until Ahmed Ali Butt settled it down by saying that I would respect Iffat Omar for her work and respect and we have nothing to do with each other’s political views. Public trolled Iffat Omar on her rigid stance and they said that she behaves like she has some personal differences and issues with Imran Khan. Many people said that one should not loose grace to show affection towards one side. They praised Ahmed Ali Butt’s cross questioning. Here are comments:

Pakistani entertainment industries has now many award shows which are conducted towards the end of the year and projects and artists from different fields are honoured. Yes, many people in the country including our own artists, musicians and designers do not care much about these awards as they do not think they are fair. But one more thing which all our award shows get hype for are bad outfit choices and same was the case for Lux Style Awards 2022. This year was the year of capes and jumpsuits. Yes public criticizes our celebs for wearing revealing clothes but many a times they wear bad clothes even if the modesty is not a factor. This year the right fitting or cuts were not on mind of our celebrities. Even many were not concerned about ironing clothes either. Here is a list of celebrities who could have done a better job.

1. Merub Ali:

Merub Ali wore an ivory two piece outfit. Though Merub’s hair and makeup was great but her outfit looked extremely un-ironed. Moreover it did not suit her frame at all which is a shame as Meerub is a very beautiful girl.

2. Dananeer Mubeen:

Dananeer opted for a powder blue jumpsuit with a white train attached to it. The length of her sleeves did not make any sense neither did the white train. The colour was not looking great for a red carpet event and again it did not look properly ironed.

3. Humaima Malick:

Humaima Malick opted for a red gown with yet again bad fitting. The upper bodice of the dress made zero sense for her and the net gloves did not look like a part of the same outfit. Her hair did not look good either but that is understandable given she had a performance that night.

4. Amar Khan:

Amar Khan is one beautiful woman and her confidence is always off the charts but her fashion choices can use some help. Amar Khan wore a colourful saari which would have looked better on a brunch than on the red carpet.

5. Kinza Hashmi:

Kinza Hashmi is one beautiful girl and she is extremely fit. Why she opted for such an ill fitted outfit is uncomprehendable. Also the length of her coat did not make any sense for her. But her beautiful face and hair kind of saved he a bit.

6. Mariyam Nafees:

Mariyam Nafees’s dress was not bad but her neck straps could have fitted better. Plus the hair and makeup did her no good. If her hair was tied or her makeup was in more mauvy tones, she could have looked better.

Each year we see projects coming out, some get to make the hit list while other just disappear from the memories. But then Hashim Nadeem’s Parizaad was turned into a drama with Ahmed Ali Akbar as The Parizaad and as we say the rest is history.

Fahad Mustafa is one of the biggest stars we have in Pakistan right now. From television to film, he has ruled everywhere and has millions of followers who look forward to his projects.
