In several scenes where Parizaad was working in the heat and getting a tan, his skin appeared lighter than it did when he became wealthy and spent more time indoors.

But excessive use of such treatments is seriously taking away from performances. When you use excessive Botox or fillers on your face, you lose your ability to emote normally. The eyes and mouth, in general, do not move in a natural manner. Najiba Faiz seems to have this problem in her drama Sharakat, where he eyes and facial expressions look extremely exaggerated, which was not the case when she worked in Sang e Mah.

Fawad Khan is one of the best actors from Pakistan you will know that he brings a certain amount of natural charm and charisma to whatever role he is doing. This film requires nothing more than Fawad and Vaani to just look good on screen and hope that everything else will take care of itself. I couldn’t invest in either Abeer’s storyline or Gulaal’s storyline. Gulaal is jumping from a wannabe chef to a wanna be dancer and is doing neither one very well whatsoever. Abeer can’t decide whether he likes Gulaal, dislikes Gulaal, is in love with her, isn’t in love with her. I genuinely have not had a such a frustrating viewing experience in cinema for a very long time. Add to that such poor finishing of the film, it feels like no attention has been paid to the colour grading of the film. And although that sounds technical to some, the reason why film often feel larger than life and vibrant, is because lot of care is taken in the post-production of the film, in making sure that it has a glossy veneer and finish to it and this lacked that.
