Pakistani Authors Longlisted for Man Booker Prize!

The Man Booker Prize is a literary prize awarded each year for the best original novel, written in the English and published in the UK. The winner of the Man Booker Prize is generally assured international renown and success; therefore, the prize is of great significance for the book sale.

This year, two British-Pakistani authors, Mohsin Hamid and Kamila Shamsie have been nominated for the prize.

Mohsin Hamid belongs from the city of Lahore and has received a lot of appreciation for his phenomenal books through numerous awards awarded to him in the past years. ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’, his second novel, is an international best seller.

Kamila Shamsie is no less a pro than Mr.Mohsin. She belongs from Karachi city and her outstanding work came under the limelight through her third novel, ‘Kartography’ which became a hit worldwide.
