Wedding season in Pakistan is in full swing, featuring new trends where young people and even Generation Alpha are asking their parents to arrange their marriages early. Due to their exposure to digital media and online information, a desire for love and companionship has developed in these kids at an earlier age. A few years ago, Asad and Nimra went viral for getting married at 16.

Recently, a 15-year-old Pakistani couple made headlines on social media for their early marriage.

In Urdu Point vlog, the young student said, “I was so happy to get married that I woke up multiple times that night, just looking at my sherwani and qulla in excitement. I gifted her a kiss as a wedding gift. I first noticed her at a wedding—as the groom was entering, she threw flower petals, and I thought she did it deliberately. When I flirted with her, she warned me of her father, but when I proposed to her, she asked me to send my parents to her home. I talked to my papa, who warned me about her physical condition, explaining that she couldn’t speak or hear. We only talked a few times before getting married, but I fell in love with her instantly and was overjoyed when our marriage was fixed. At first, it was difficult for me to understand her gestures, but over time, I learned her language.” Watch here:
Social media users are angry at the young couple, with most people saying that such incidents should not be covered by social, digital, and electronic media because they can contaminate young minds. Many are saying that the kid isn’t even in a position to provide for his wife and is just bragging about falling in love. Read the comments here:
