Pakistan is a beautiful country with its diverse landscapes, hospitable people and a resilience to keep going on despite all the odds but it is also a land still unexplored though it is nearly 2024. Many of the country’s most beautiful areas are inaccessible due to the lack of security. There is sectarian violence in Gilgit-Baltistan, terrorist invasions in KPK and then we have Balochistan with Baloch people going through hell everyday. A family with two children travelling from Glgit Baltistan to Karachi in search of a good life has recently gone through hell as well.
The family comprising Roshan Bibi and her husband Shah Bulbul with their two children were moving to Karachi in search of better job opportunities. They took a bus which came under a terrorist attack. Shah Bulbul had fallen asleep when suddenly Roshan Bibi pushed him and her two children under a seat. She laid on top of them to protect them and was shot 6 times in her back.
Roshan saved her family and asked Shah Bulbul to take care of the kids as she was shot. She was taken to a hospital in the Gilgit city where she underwent initial surgery. She has Alhamdulillah survived and she is a symbol of bravery.
Here is what she shared in an interview:
Here is how people are saluting the young woman on how she saved her children and protected her family:
