Ruby Anum spoke about marriages, increasing divorces and how her fellow colleagues have spoken about accepting divorces as normal. She shared her point of view on the topic and revealed her own mother’s advice to her.
Ruby Anum said that she has seen how her fellow artists are sharing nowadays how their divorces freed them. They share the painful lives they had before and how getting divorced made it easier. Ruby said that such things should not be said on television. Instead the positives of marriage should be highlighted. She went on to share that her own mother asked her before her Nikkah if she was really ready for marriage as her father had passed away and she had three married sisters. Her mother told her that there will be no place for her back and she needs to live with her husband from then on. She added that even when encountering issues, look for a solution and not dissolution of marriage. She criticized women who speak about ending their marriages after years.
