Faisal Kapadia is a renowned Pakistani singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as a founding member and vocalist of the iconic Pakistani pop and rock band Strings (1989 to 2021), which produced numerous hit songs. His colleague in the band was Bilal Maqsood. Their influential catalog includes massive hits like Duur, Dhaani, Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar, Kahani Mohabbat Ki Hai Mukhtasir, Najane Kyun, and the recent solo track Phir Milenge. He is currently producing solo music and has also collaborated with Coke Studio multiple times.

Recently, Faisal Kapadia gave an interview to City 1016, a Dubai-based music station. In the podcast, he opened up about his relationship with Indian actress Dimple Kapadia.


Talking about the Bollywood actor, Faisal Kapadia said, “Dimple Kapadia is my niece by relation; her father, the late Chunnibhai Kapadia, was my cousin. Dimple’s father visited us in Pakistan during a wedding. Chunnibhai came to Karachi in 1984 for our cousin’s wedding. I sang there, and Chunnibhai promised to take me to Bollywood. He said, ‘I’ll take you to Bollywood one day.’ Sadly, he passed away before that could happen. But I eventually went to Bollywood and sang Yeh Meri Hai Kahani and Spider-Man.” He also performed the monologue of his song for fans. Here is the link to the video:
