She talked to Iffat Omar in a latest interview and she shared a lot about when she started working till today.

Talking about the Zia era, she shared that there was an overnight directive that women need to wear a duappata on their head on television. She was shooting for a project at that time and it was half way done. Saba Hameed did not comply with the order and told the director that adding dupatta now will look odd and it goes against the character’s demand. The drama never aired after that and she also took a break from acting till there was a compulsion on actresses.

Saba was also asked if she faced discrimination for dusky complexion. She revealed that she grew up thinking she had fair complexion, so she did not know that discrimination could be a thing for her. She never had to go through it but she later on saw other women who were not cast because they did not have a fair complexion.
