Recently, Sachal Afzal appeared on Rise and Shine, where he spoke openly about his fears regarding marriage.
Responding to Nadia Khan’s question, “You are single. What type of proposals are you getting, and what is your family’s take on this?” Sachal Afzal said, “My family wants me to get married right now, but I think actors are often judged through their social media presence rather than their real personalities. People get inspired by the image they see online. The person sending a proposal usually knows the social media version of me, whereas in reality, I am a very simple man. People assume I’m a party-type person, and girls get attracted to that social media personality instead of my real self. I don’t respond to such proposals because I know they are looking for someone I’m not. I can only tell what kind of husband I am after marriage. At 11 a.m., I can’t even think about a rishta because I am currently focused on my acting career. If I get married, it would be a bigger sacrifice for my wife, who would have to wait for me all day while I work. That’s something I don’t want. I do want my wife to work, but ideally for five to six hours a day. I can’t say I don’t want my partner to work because that would be unfair and unjust.”
