Famous model Saheefa Jabbar in a recent interview talked about her mother’s thoughts on modelling and wearing revealing clothes.
Saheefa Jabbar shared, “My mother started a topic out of nowhere and said, ‘women look good when covered’. I didn’t understand why my mother said this. People might be thinking that my mother must be liberal.”
“I said to my mother that I am a model and I travel a lot and I don’t wear full clothes even. You are my mother and you are saying this. If this is your mentality then what’s the mentality of normal people?” she added.
It was quite surprising for Saheefa Jabbar that her mother believes in this. “It was so surprising to me that my mother said this,” she said.
Saheefa Jabbar talked about her parents’ support and said, “I got married to the man of my choice. He is Shia and my parents supported me. When I joined as model and actress they supported me too.”
“Even though they supported me but still they think this way. So it means, this type of thinking is there in every parent’s mind. If I can’t change my mother’s thinking then It will take 5-6 generations to change this kind of thinking of people.”
