Saima Akram Chaudhry is counted among the few successful and famous writers we have in Pakistan. She is known as the pioneer of modern Ramadan dramas and became a household name after the huge success of Suno Chanda. She has been giving back-to-back hits since and has not looked back. She predominantly writes comedies for Ramadan and has been successful so far with all her scripts.
This year Ramadan dramas are not gaining the towering popularity they usually do and the same is the case for her drama Chand Tara starring Ayeza Khan and Danish Taimoor. The writer has gone with the advantages and disadvantages of a joint family as her topic for Chand Tara this year but people have noticed the lack of a mother-in-law in the drama who is generally the backbone of a joint family.
During an interview with Fuchsia, Saima Akram Chaudhry revealed that she had written the character of a mother-in-law as well as an older sister who keeps coming to the house with her two kids. But after Hum TV calculated their estimates, they cut off the older sister and made both the kids of Danish Taimoor’s character while they also cut out the mother-in-law.
