Saleem Mairaj is a versatile and talented Pakistani television and film actor who began his career as a theatre artist. His hit television dramas include Mann Mayal, Pehli Si Muhabbat, Khushboo Mein Basay Khat, Kash Main Teri Beti Na Hoti, Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi, Kise Apna Kahein, Shirin Farhad, and many others. Recently, Saleem Mairaj appeared on Omair Alavi’s podcast, where he praised Ahmed Ali Akbar’s craft as an actor and his stardom after Parizad.
Responding to the host’s remark, “In Pakistan, actors are more valued after success; for example, after Parizad’s success, people searched for Laal Kabutar,” Saleem Mairaj said, “Ahmed Ali Akbar has always been a great actor. He did an excellent job in Yaar Mila De by Anjum Shehzad, where he played a typical Karachi boy. He performed with great hard work and dedication in that particular project but no one noticed it. We often associate a good or phenomenal actor with success, but we do not consider them successful before their hit projects, even though they work hard in all their roles.” Watch here:
