Salma Agha is a veteran actress who has lived and worked both in Pakistan and India. She is now settled between UK and India and that is where her daughter works. She was a big name in Pakistani films and worked in several movies. She was also married twice in Pakistan, once to superstar Javed Sheikh when he was already married to his first wife Zeenat Mangi. They eventually divorced and Salma’s destiny took her out of Pakistan.

Salma Agha’s film Nikkah was a blockbuster in India and she appeared in other projects too. She was always known to be a Pakistani beauty there but now she has decided to denounce that part of her identity years later.

Her whole family moved to the UK amd therefore she is English. She only worked in Pakistan in a professional capacity and had a great experience. She added that she now has a PIC (Person of Indian Origin) card issued by India in 2017, which allows her to live in India with rights like a national while holding a British passport. She received this card as her grandmother was from Amritsar.

This is how she has denounced her Pakistani nationality:
Salma Agha is getting trolled for this new stance. One person wrote, “Dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghaat ka.” Another added, “You still don’t have an Indian nationality as dual nationality is not allowed in India.” One went, “Your father had his home in Karachi.” This was the reaction:
