Dar-e-Nijat is a new Pakistani prime-time drama serial airing on ARY Digital. The drama has been written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Saqib Khan, while Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui, Salman Iqbal, and Sonya Salman Iqbal are serving as its producers. The story revolves around spirituality and follows a young woman navigating her beliefs, ambitions, and personal journey.

Dur-e-Fishan Saleem is playing the lead role of Zaryab, a carefree and cheerful young woman who admires her liberal lifestyle and is deeply passionate about her career and future.

However, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem has been facing significant public criticism for her portrayal of Zaryab. Many viewers have taken issue with her Urdu and English accent and dialogue delivery, saying that her performance has failed to impress them. Meanwhile, Dar-e-Nijat is also receiving average viewership and TRP numbers.

Amid the criticism, brilliant Pakistani actor Sanam Saeed has come forward in support of Dur-e-Fishan Saleem.

Taking to Instagram, Sanam Saeed expressed her disappointment over the constant discussion surrounding the actress’s accent. She wrote, “It’s a bit unsettling and honestly very lame to see everyone so obsessed over an actor’s accent. It’s downright mean and inconsiderate of someone’s feelings to have every page on social media bashing her.”

Sanam’s comments have sparked further discussion among drama viewers. Many fans believe that the criticism is not actually about Dur-e-Fishan’s accent but rather her overall dialogue delivery and distinctive way of speaking. Some viewers also pointed out that people in Pakistan naturally have different ways of speaking, while others argued that Dur-e-Fishan has a particular speaking style that has become noticeable in the drama. One viewer commented, “It’s not about accent, I think she speaks like that — yeh asal mein bhi jhatke maar ke bolti hai.”
