Sangeeta is a senior Pakistani film and television actress and a well-known director. Her notable TV dramas include Kis Din Mera Viyah Howe Ga, Meri Behen Meri Dewarani, Bari Phupo, and Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewa, Abba, Sirf Tum He To Ho among others. She has also directed the hit Lollywood films such as Society Girl, Nikah, and Sona Chaandi. These days, Sangeeta is directing the upcoming feature film Mukho, starring Saima, Moammar Rana, Meera, and Layla. She has also directed the upcoming mega drama Bhulley Shah, featuring Saima, Shahid, Ayesha Fayyaz, Kamran Mujahid, and Zaviyar Nauman.
Recently, Sangeeta made an appearance in The Yazziastic show, hosted by Yasir. In the show, she revealed details about her third marriage and also opened up about her previous abusive marriages.
Talking about her third marriage, Sangeeta said, “It is my third marriage. My first marriage was with Humayun Qureshi, and my second was with Naveed Akbar. Now, I am married for the third time to Tariq Mendro, who is from the film industry and is a big distributor. We got married fourteen years ago. Actually, I married off my daughters, after which I was alone. My husband then proposed to me multiple times, and I thought one should have a companion in old age. Also, there is one quality in him: he’s not a man who uses bad language, hits women, or fights unnecessarily. Even if I am angry, he leaves the room silently. Our marriage is successfully functioning because whenever we are angry, we go silent. That’s why we don’t fight, and our marriage is working well. He loves me, but the red flag in a marriage is physical abuse. That’s why I took a divorce. If one part of the body fails, you should cut it. I faced a lot; I used to reach the studio with bruises.” Watch here:
