Dr Mahnoor is a young doctor from Balochistan who became victim of a heinous acid attack. The news became a nationwide shock. The attack took place in Quetta and the young doctor was shifted to Karachi from Quetta where her initial treatment has been done. This case has once again brought forward how women are still being subjected to acid attacks in their safe places.

Acid attack on Dr Mahnoor also became a controversial issue as the attacker was killed in an encounter by the police in the very first hour. A senior doctor from Quetta, Dr Ishaq has spoken to the media and he has revealed what actually went down that day.

Dr Ishaq shared that after the attack, they were all in shock. He revealed how Dr Mahnoor was extremely professional and she was busy studying at that time as well. They took the young woman to a ward where they kept pouring water on her wounds for an hour. They wanted to shift her to a secure place as they had no place or facility in the hospital to deal with these injuries. He exposed how more female doctors are getting threatened and he feels that more such cases can happen.

He said that he is ready to resign of he has to but the government needs to take this seriously. They need to provide proper security to the hospital staff and female doctors. Here is what he said:
