Lately, Shahid Afridi has been in the spotlight after his statement about the news regarding Shaheen Shah Afridi’s captaincy. Well, Shahid Afridi has strongly reacted to public backlash, he said that he has never made any statement which said, “Shaheen Afridi would lead the team better than Babar Azam”. He said that he has been seeing the campaign about him on social media that he has been engaged in the efforts to make Shaheen Shah Afridi captain of national cricket team. He complained that he found out harsh tweets and comments which are stating that Shahid Afridi wants Shaheen Shah Afridi to replace Babar Azam.
Furthermore, Shahid Afridi clarified that he doesn’t want Shaheen Afridi to become the captain. Afridi stated, “I don’t understand why they are saying such things. I express my views and perspective but people interpret it in their own way. Although, I am the only person who always keeps Shaheen away from the captaincy”. He also said that people spread the false information with celebrities’ names which is so wrong.
