Shahood Alvi is a celebrated Pakistani television actor and director who began his showbiz career as a boom operator at PTV alongside Iqbal Ansari, who is his uncle. Shahood later transitioned into acting and established himself as a phenomenal performer. His hit dramas include Makan, Bol Meri Machli, Meri Adhoori Mohabbat, Mera Saaein, Dunk, Nanhi, Meri Beti, Ghisi Piti Mohabbat, and Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha. Shahood is married to Saima Shahood, and they are parents to three adorable daughters, Areeba, Sajal, and Areeja, who are now married.

Shahood Alvi recently appeared on After Hours with Ushna Shah, where he spoke about the embarrassment he felt while playing Ramsha Khan’s hero in Ghisi Piti Mohabbat.



Talking about it, Shahood Alvi said, “I started doing father’s roles by choice because I once did a drama in which I was cast opposite a very young actress. It was around seven years ago. Ramsha Khan was signed opposite me in a romantic role in Ghisi Pitti Mohabbat, and she is exactly my daughter’s age. I felt extremely embarrassed. I requested the director that I would not play such roles because if my fans love me and see me in a young romantic role, they will definitely question why I am not doing roles suitable for my age. I initially refused, but later got the story changed. My character was turned into a flirtatious older man who had a wife but liked another girl, which suited my age. In Pakistan, the shelf life of a hero is not more than twenty years. Those who are still playing heroes are doing it by force.” Here is the link to the video:
