Shahzad Nawaz is an actor who is being discussed at every platform after his stint as the suave Asif Shahwani. The infamous Asif uncle won hearts left, right and center and by the end of the series everyone was rooting for him though he was more of a negative character. He just gave an interview to Something Haute and shed a light on choosing Mein and his opinion on Zaid looking like a loser in the drama.
He shared that his manager actually selected Mein for him as he does not read scripts anymore. He added that he has stopped watching Pakistani content for a long time now and his manager has a better sense of which scripts would work. Thus, he has put this responsibility on her and she now chooses his scripts.

The actor also shared that he was offered Aijaz Aslam’s character in Cheekh and he had turned it down as he felt that this was an absurd script. The director had tried to convince him but he said No to it and the drama later on had good ratings.

He also shared his equation with Wahaj Ali. He said that Wahaj is very funny and he can be a standup comedian. He has a great camaraderie with Wahaj Ali and he opined that Wahaj was good as Zaid. Zaid looked like what he looked like as the character was written that way and the onus mostly falls on the writer.
