Shani Arshad is a brilliant Pakistani music director, composer & singer. He started playing music at a very young age. He has worked with all the top Pakistani pop singers including Junaid Jamshed, Fakhir, Shehzad Roy & Ali Zafar. Shani Arshad has composed and sung many popular OSTs of famous Pakistani dramas including Fitoor, Farq, Khudparast, Bayhadh, Siyani, Aye Musht E Khaak, Raaz E Ulfat and most popular Tere Bin. Shani Arshad has also composed the music of films including Na Maloom Afraad, Quaid E Azam Zindabad and others.
Recently, Shani Arshad appeared in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast. In the podcast, he talked about his musical journey. He also gave advice to many popular Pakistani singers including Atif Aslam, Asim Azhar and others. He also talked about Kaifi Khalil. Shani Arshad also said that nowadays all the singers use auto-tuner which has become a necessity in current era’s electronic music.
While giving advice to Atif Aslam, Shani Arshad said, “Atif Aslam should stop thinking big of himself, it is his problem, he thinks that he’s a bigger person”. Here is the link to the video:
He also gave suggestions to other singers including Asim Azhar, Ali Sethi and Ali Zafar. Talking about Asim Azhar he said that Asim should focus on his styling. He’s a young guy, producing good music but styling will add more to his profile. He advised Ali Sethi to sing a song in English. Talking about the future of the Pakistani singers, he said, “The music scene isn’t that vibrant as we don’t see singers producing hit after hit songs, for example, Kaifi Khalil sang another song after Kahani Suno but it didn’t pick up, although, it was a beautiful song”.
