Taher Shah rose to fame with his songs ‘eye to eye’ and ‘angel’. His first song made him an overnight sensation and the second one is the 10th most watched video on YouTube in Pakistan. Taher was recently seen doing a cameo in the latest online film ‘Oye Kuch Kar Guzar’. Unfortunately the popular singer is now in trouble and left Pakistani after receiving threats.
According to a statement released by his management, the singer left the country after receiving life threats. “Pakistan’s famous singer Taher Shah, who is known for spreading love through his music had been receiving life threats for quite some time,” said the statement available with The Express Tribune.
The statement further quoted “Recently Shah made his film debut with Pakistan’s first online film and it seems like the haters are not admiring his approach of using arts to the benefit of mankind. Perhaps that is the reason why he was getting threats. Shah was left heartbroken when the government failed to provide him security and as a result of which he decided to leave Pakistan.”
It was confirmed by Taher’s manager that he departed from Karachi this Tuesday. In conversation with a local newspaper, Shah’s manager Affan said, “Even I don’t know where he has gone to but he has left Pakistan for sure.”
