Gujranwala is the latest city which came in the news cycle for violence against women. These cases are on a sharp rise and this one has once again shook the nation. A pregnant girl was subjected to torture by none other than her own husband. This happened while she was carrying this man’s child.
In Wapda Town in Gujranwala, this young woman was brutalized by her own husband. She had a daughter already from her marriage and she was 5 months pregnant with her second child. As soon as ultrasound showed a second girl, the man wanted his wife to abort her. When she declined, he beat her badly so she miscarries. She fled to her family and the man is arrested after she filed a case against him.
