Netizens throughout Pakistan reacted differently to this somewhat bizarre and even a bit funny incident.
First to react were the people brimming with ‘righteous indignation’. They’re the ones who just can’t bear to steal credit for other people’s hard-work. They berated the local industry non-stop for being shameless imitators. And that, at the very least, they should have chosen different colors for character outfits.Next up in line are the patriots who support their brethren as well as community through thick and thin. According to them, it’s only fair for Pakistanis to play tit-for-tat. Especially when the Indians refuse to admit their imitation of Hadiqa Qiyaani’s song even to this day!Then comes the turn of Marvel die-hards as well as worshippers of Doctor Strange. Though they do have a point: who’s willing to waste time on such worthless imitations when they can simply binge watch premium content online?Next are the people genuinely interested in the film Rishtey as well as its relation to Bollywood’s iconic film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. Such people threw torrents of comments about the identity of those Pakistani actors.While others simply pinpointed the minute differences between the two posters; such as varying background colors, Pakistani actresses beating Kajol and Kareena when it comes to wearing flimsy outfits; and finally, addition of one extra ‘father’ on Pakistan’s side!
