Yasir Shami’s unique comedy style was praised the social media users and he became an overnight star. Yasir Shami is also famous for covering the interviews of Pakistanis who marry foreigners. Yasir Shami has taken interviews of many foreigners who are married to Pakistanis including an 83 years old lady. Yasir Shami is working with Daily Pakistan as a reporter.
Recently, the brilliant host Yasir Shami appeared in Public Tv’s show Public Demand, hosted by Mohsin Abbas Haider. In the show, he talked about reality of marriages between Pakistanis and foreigners. He said that he gets all the information about these foreigners from his friends who are in immigration. He says that such interviews are not for free as the channel gives the money to the couples. Talking about the reality behind these marriages, Yasir Shami said, “I enjoy such interviews (says in fun), I have interviewed an 83 years old woman who came to Hafizabad from Poland, for a 25 years old boy to marry him, first I thought that they are lying but then I checked her passport, she was 83 years old. Actually, this is a business, whatever they do, they settle the things with eachother for example the boys give money to them and the foreigners give them nationality or help them out in documentation. It all happens with the consent of both the parties, it is a business”. Yasir Shami further said, “I also want to say to the authorities to keep a strict check and balance on this as it is very important”.
