Talking about her project, Amena Khan said, “I had no idea it would be this successful. I thought it would just be another saas-bahu saga. It was my comeback so I wanted to start from a smaller role that’s why I chose this, but wherever I go, I’m receiving an overwhelming response. It’s doing phenomenally well, everyone is watching it, and it’s so well written. Our team put in great effort, our director Ali Hassan is very hardworking and I’m getting amazing feedback.”

Amena Khan further mentioned that current dramas aren’t performing well and shared how senior PTV writer Haseena Moin used to be upset about the increasing portrayal of violence on television.

She said, “They show 15 marriages, 18 divorces, and thousands of unnecessary slaps on TV — it has become mandatory now. Our senior writer, Haseena Moin, who gave us some of the greatest hits, used to hate the kind of content Pakistani dramas were producing. Imagine — a person who was among the pioneers of television drama ended up hating TV. Yes, we need to highlight social ills, but there should be a responsible way to do it. Television is a powerful tool that can be used for transformation, yet the current content often triggers and escalates social evils. It has all become a game of ratings and sensationalism, but it’s up to the creators to present things subtly and still attract viewers. Where is your craft if you cannot use this medium effectively and responsibly?” Here is the link to the video:
