Pakistan Idol is the currently on-air reality singing show. The platform has brought forward great singing talent and judges Rahat Fateh Ali khan, Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash and Bilal Maqsood have done a great job in encouraging new singers. The show has been under several controversies and the recent one came in the form of contestant M Ibrar Shahid.

M Ibrar Shahid was selected in the Top 16 of Pakistan Idol. He has now left the show and he has shared his side of the story on his Instagram and socials. He feels he was not dealt a fair hand on the show and aired his grievances online.

M Ibrar Shahid shared that he has not been eliminated. He left the show on his own volition as he was not being dealt fairly. His voice was being autotuned to the point that they did not even sound like his real vocals. He shared that he was unhappy but he was threatened with legal action if he spoke about the show online. He, however, decided to speak out and shared what happened to him on the platform.

Here is what he had to say:
The internet is not agreeing with M Ibrar Shahid’s stance. One user wrote, “The platform supported you and you are maligning it. Every place has a system and you were not able to cope with it.” Another added, “There is some merit or you will not be in the top 16 on the show.” One said, “You were not too extraordinary. You would have been eliminated anyway even if you stayed.” Here is the reaction:
