Nida Yasir is the morning show queen of Pakistan. She has been hosting her show on ARY Digital for more than a decade. She has been a part of controversies and memes over the years. The recent one came after she gave a statement against food delivery riders. Nida shared her thoughts and said that these riders try to extort extra money from you and never bring change. She therefore tries to pay the exact amount or asks them to go and bring change first.
Food delivery riders face very harsh conditions in Pakistan. Their work is demanding and at times dangerous while they are paid peanuts for it. Thus Nida’s words cut deep and many riders asked her to apologize for her extremely insensitive remarks. She has now issued an apology in her latest show.
Nida Yasir said that she has a habit of oversharing her life and that is what she did. She was just sharing an experience she had. Her mistake, however, is how she did not say that “some” riders do this and it sounded like she is implicating all riders. She should have worded her statement better and she did not want to put allegations on everyone.

The internet was quick to react as soon as the statement landed. Some applauded her for doing the right thing by apologizing while others called her out for not being thoughtful with her words. One user wrote. “You are a humble person. It is good to apologize after realizing your mistake.” Another added, “What you said was not wrong.
