A few days ago, the gorgeous and talented Pakistani television and film actor Mahira Khan opened up about her mental illness. Mahira Khan talked about dealing with severe depression. She said, “I was broken, I was badly depressed after the pictures’ controversy, I went to the doctor for my treatment when I was diagnosed with manic depression. The doctor said, ‘before everything, I would like to tell you that you are suffering from manic depression for six years’. Well, I am on anti depressants for seven years now”. Mahira Khan also said that her depression was something beyond her control and she could feel that something was not right. Her statement about depression went viral and became the talk of the town.
Famous actress Noor Bukhari also commented on Mahira Khan’s video which was shared on Galaxy Lollywood’s official Instagram page. Noor Bukhari advised Mahira Khan to revert back to Allah. She also prayed for her ease. They are also saying that women like Noor should now understand that depression can be as serious as any other physical disease because in many cases it leads people towards suicide. A few people are advising Noor to stop using social media because she always has something harsh to say about someone else in the light of religion.
