Talking about Maha’s character, Zoya Nasir said, “We worked a lot on Maha. Musadik told me how I should portray her because, at that time, I was also playing Nimmi, who was quite hyper. As a result, Nimmi was overtaking Maha. Musadik advised me to present Maha in a very casual and calm tone, as if she doesn’t care about anything. Also, Maha only thinks about herself; she came to Noor Jahan’s house only for her child and has not developed any feelings for Safeer. She is just trying to figure out which circus she has entered.”

Talking about the feedback, Zoya Nasir said, “people are rooting for Maha, fans said that, ‘we didn’t know we will be rooting for Maha’s character’, also, I knew that the comments will change and will go in Maha’s favour because of the story. So far, I am getting great feedback”.

Mohib Mirza is a great talent and he always shines when he picks up a character. The actor is winning hearts with a strong performance as Hassan in Hum TV’s Jafaa. He plays a troubled person whose past has shaped his personality and he is now living in a very toxic equation with his wife Zara played by Mawra Hocane.

Mohib spoke to BBC Urdu about what society should learn from the character of Hassan. He said that nearly everyone around us has trauma and it has shaped us in a certain way. Hassan’s character shows that realizing your situation is important and viewers are talking about how he needs therapy and that is what they wanted to convey to the audience.

Mohib has gone through a divorce in his real life and he found love again. He has been very open about how a person should move on in life and now he is advising people like Zara who are stuck in such situations. Mohib said that if the situation has turned extremely toxic then people should get out of it and move on. There should be no pressure to keep yourself entrapped in a toxic relationship.

Muhammad Ahsan is a brilliant new addition to the Pakistan television industry. He is a host, writer, director, and actor. Ahsan was associated with the digital platform Rava Entertainment, where he hosted multiple interviews and created documentaries and short films. Ahsan graduated from ZABIST and also took acting courses at NAPA. He recently rose to fame after appearing in Green Entertainment’s popular drama serial Gentleman, where he portrays one of Iqbal Munna’s right-hand men. Talking about shooting his first scene with Humayun Saeed, Ahsan said, “I was ready on set and walking around, talking to myself about doing a scene with Humayun Saeed. I was convinced he wouldn’t come, and that someone else would play the character. But then Humayun Saeed and Ahmed Ali Butt walked in, and I instantly felt confused upon seeing Humayun Saeed. I was quite unsure and nervous about my upcoming scene with him because I had to act alongside him. Then, Humayun Saeed called me over and said, “Let’s do the scene!” I became so tense because of his charismatic personality that I poorly executed my lines. I failed multiple times until Humayun Saeed realized I needed guidance. He read the lines, and I wish we had the footage of that scene because his acting was incredible. Humayun Saeed portrayed Zulmi in a brilliant style. I wanted him to do it once more because he truly nailed it”

Talking further about the specific scene, Ahsan said that Humayun Saeed told him that he had to show the happy emotions while telling about Iqbal Munna’s refusal to sit on the floor. Ahsan said that he was so surprised by Humayun Saeed’s attitude, he was so helpful.

Ahsan further added, “there was a scene with Ahmed Ali Butt in which we had to assure our loyalty with Iqbal Munna, it was my time to perform. I was quite active on the set and did that scene brilliantly. The next day, Humayun Saeed came and showed that scene to everyone that Zulmi (Ahsan) performed so well. He came to me and watched that scene with me and I wasn’t interested in the scene because I wanted to say Humayun Saeed, ‘I love you’, who showers this much love and appreciation to a newbie? it was unbelievable”
