Talking about his political party, Iqrar ul Hassan said, “I would disagree that I am forming a political party. In fact, journalists, educated people, and others have a responsibility to enhance the thought process of the local population. I feel that Pakistan needs another political platform at this moment — one that we haven’t been able to create in the past 78 years. It happens worldwide; people form political parties just like Democrats and Republicans in the USA, or Conservatives in Britain, and in other countries, give chance to common man. In Pakistan, it never happened — our parties revolve around personalities.”

He further added that he plans to create a platform where he himself will not contest elections but will give opportunities to others, similar to how Altaf Hussain’s party, MQM, once operated but he also mentioned that even MQM created middle class leaders based on others’ recommendations, however, his party will provide genuine chances for common people to contest elections and come forward through a pure process.
