Meesam Naqvi is a renowned Pakistani television director who is currently garnering praise for his drama serial Kafeel which is airing on ARY Digital. The drama is written by Umera Ahmed and it has been produced by Big Bang Entertainment. Meesam Naqvi’s previous hit dramas were Mayi Ri and Parwarish which got a lot of critical and public acclaim. Both the dramas starred Aina Asif and they were all Fahad Mustafa’s production.

Recently, Meesam Naqvi made an appearance in ARY Digital’s talk show The Buzz, hosted by Hassan Choudhury. In the show he revealed the other name for Kafeel and why the drama is deeply upsetting for viewers.

Kafeel’s director Meesam Naqvi said, “it was difficult for me to asses the feedback of the drama because I give another name to Kafeel, which is ‘Frustration’. I want my audience or viewers to be frustrated enough, if they are being frustrated, my target is being achieved it’s my target and it is something intentional. I want my audience to think about Zeba’s suffering and to think that why is she not speaking up for her situation. I think it still happens in 2026, yes, there is a difference in ratio, now it happens rarely but still we see a lot in the newspapers. We read about murders, rapes, injustices in the news. There is a real-life incident where a mother in Haidrabad had put a tag on her kid to sell him out, things like these are happening . Society is the same, such incidents are happening but people are not accepting. The events we have shown in Kafeel are just an introduction to the drama, the real frustrating events will come soon from next week” Here is the link to the video:
