Mohsin Abbas Haider is a celebrated Pakistani actor, singer, and writer known for his exceptional talent and diverse roles in the entertainment industry. His notable dramas include Meri Guriya, Muqabil, Lashkara, Dil Tanha Tanha, Siyani, Mohabbat Chordi Maine, Sirf Tum, Tauba, and others. Mohsin is also admired for his soulful songs, including Uddi Ja. He is currently receiving praise for his two hit TV projects, Musafat and Milkiyat, airing on Hum TV and Geo TV.

Recently, Mohsin Abbas Haider appeared on Vasay Chaudhry’s show Gup Shab, where he spoke about actors who allegedly use drugs and come to sets under the influence.

Mohsin Abbas Haider said, “I had posted a status on social media saying actors, actresses, and directors who come to sets intoxicated should be banned. Because I only do one project at a time, I instantly received a call from the production house asking, ‘Mohsin, you are on our set right now, aren’t you? So what was the status about?’ To which I said, ‘Yes. And the status is about the same set’ Then the production asked, ‘Are you talking about that particular actor?’ and I said, ‘Yes.’ They replied, ‘Okay, we will look into the matter. Just imagine, the heroine’s eyes weren’t even locking with mine. I was talking to her, and her eyes were wandering in another direction. We shouldn’t promote anything that can cause deterioration in society.” Vasay Chaudhry then asked, “Did they look into the matter?” To which Mohsin Abbas Haider replied, “Yes, absolutely.”
It is pertinent to mention that Mohsin posted this status in January 2025, around the time when the drama series Tauba was airing on Geo TV. Momina Iqbal, Allie Zaid, Mikaal Zulfiqar, and several other prominent actors were also part of the series alongside him, and it is most likely the same project he has been referring to.
