Nadia Khan and Musaddiq Malik are two renowned Pakistani celebrities who are currently hosting the drama review show Kya Drama Hai. Nadia has been part of the show for a long time, ever since it started, while actor and director Musaddiq Malik occasionally replaces the host, Mukaram Kaleem.

Recently, Musaddiq Malik and Nadia Khan faced backlash for their remarks against Pakistani viewers who comment on their favourite shows.

Speaking about online criticism, Nadia Khan said, “We, the artists, have developed thick skin after so much criticism, but normal people and new actors are deeply affected by it, especially when they read negative comments on their personal photos such as school pictures and gathering pictures.” Marina Khan also added that bullying comments are one of the reasons behind people taking their own lives.

Mussadiq Malik, who is praised by Gen Z viewers, also expressed his frustration with drama viewers who comment negatively on social media. He said, “I believe we should completely shut off the comments section for everything. If you want to watch, go ahead; if you don’t, just turn off the show. Who are you? Your opinion doesn’t matter to us. You may think you’re important, but you are of no value. Comments like ‘you did this,’ ‘you did that,’ or ‘your previous drama was the same’ are unnecessary.” Here is the link to the video:
Social media users are outraged, with many calling out Nadia Khan and Musaddiq Malik for their degrading remarks about drama viewers, who play a crucial role in determining the success of a drama through their opinions on digital media platforms. One social media user wrote, “Mr. Musaddiq, who are we? We are the ones who make your show a hit. You are a red flag.” Another commented, “The irony is that this is being said on a show that critiques dramas.” A third user wrote, “I think Musaddiq said this to Nadia Khan and her clan because of their harsh reviews. Why don’t they turn off the TV if they don’t like a drama? Why sit on a TV show discussing dramas?” Another asked, “Did Musaddiq Malik forget that he commented against Nadia Khan just a few days ago?” Yet another wrote, “I didn’t expect this from Musaddiq Malik. Musaddiq, You are asking who we are? Wait and see our power.” Many users added that after such harsh remarks, Meri Zindagi Hai Tu viewers should stop watching the drama.
