A few days ago, a girl in an Abaya/Hijab was harassed by a man on a motorbike, and his terrible act was also witnessed by his child. Soon after that, a 5-year-old girl was raped at Ganga Ram Hospital in Lahore. A young couple was also harassed in a crowd in Pakistan. The most heinous incident, however, was the killing of five people when a woman named Natasha rammed her car into five people while she was drunk.

Pakistan and India are both going through a hard time as far as violence against women and children is concerned. Pakistan was reeling with brutal murder of 20 year old Sania Zehra and the recent case of a 5 year old getting raped in a government hospital when the case of an Indian doctor in Kolkatta rocked the world. The young doctor was brutally raped and murdered and her story sent shockwaves running through the world.

Artists on both sides of the border are raising their voice for justice. Bushra Ansari has now come forward as she calls for justice for women on both sides of the border. She asked why we have a mindset where men can just break women like toys as we saw in Sania Zahra’s case and now with Dr Moumita. She added that such cases won’t stop unless we start giving huge sentences to these men and make them impotent.

The Legend of Maula Jatt is a Pakistani film that was released in 2022. The film had a huge cast including Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick, Gohar Rasheed and others. The film also had a cameo by Babar Ali and Resham which was a surprise for the audience. The Legend of Maula Jatt took years for its release due to copyright issues and Covid but it broke all the box office records of Pakistan.

The film written by Nasir Adeeb and directed by Bilal Lashari is still screening in some Pakistani cinemas and it made over 200 crores in collections. The film was supposed to release in India as well but extremists in India did not allow for a simultaneous release at that time.

A new development is occurring and The Legend of Maula Jatt will now be released in India. Maula Jatt is releasing under the Zee Films banner on 20th September 2024. If all remained okay, The Legend of Maula Jatt will be hitting the Indian cinemas after two years of its worldwide release.
