Pakistani artists have worked in Bollywood for years now. This is not a new thing and we have seen names like Zeba Bakhtiyar, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Mohsin Khan work for mainstream Bollywood. In the last two decades, actors like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan made a name for themselves in Bollywood. Things did not end well as they were banned from India due to rising political tensions. The artists were once again set to star in Indian ventures but the situation has turned sour after Pahalgam Attack.
Hania Aamir is another star who was recently getting popular in India and she as all set to star in a Diljit Dosanjh Punjabi film Sardaarji 3. There was noise of bans coming from all sides in India as they once again want to target Pakistan and not look inwards. An official statement is out now from Federation Of Western India Cine Employees calling for a ban on Pakistani artists.
The federation has called for a blanket ban on Pakistani actors, musicians and technicians. They are also keen on stopping Fawad Khan’s Abir Gulal from releasing in India:
Pakistanis are reacting to the news of this ban. Many think that this was going to happen sooner or later as this is how India reacts.
