According to media reports, Rasheed Naz who is known for his work in notable television plays and was last seen playing the role of extremist Maulana Tahiri in the critically-acclaimed Khuda Key Liye will be reprising a similar role in upcoming Bollywood film Baby. His first look shows him as Maulana Abdul Rahman, the mastermind behind a fundamentalist terror group planning to harm India. The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey and will star Akshay Kumar as the main lead.
Needless to say, no matter how much artists have tried to change perceptions certain B-towners have largely relied on an anti-Pakistan agenda for the success of their films. However, roping in a Pakistani actor for such a role is just pushing the envelope almost to the edge. Do we see a potential ban in Pakistani cinemas? Likely!
