Sarwat Gillani is a wonder woman in a true sense of word. Her personal life is going well as she married her college sweetheart and had two beautiful kids with him. She’s doing television and film together and she is nailing it. Currently, she’s a part of 7th Sky’s Nau Lakha on TV one with Bushra Ansari and Kiran Haq. Her film Jawani Phir Nahin Ani shattered box office records and wait that’s not all. She was also offered Aamina Sheikh’s role in the movie Cake which has been sent as Pakistan’s official entry to the oscar.
Sarwat recently gave an interview to BBC Urdu where she said, “Let’s make films for women on women by women.” She said,”The formulas which were used in the past were a success and people want to carry on with it but we want to get out from that as it is our responsibility to think of the society or for the woman standing next to us as there are already very few who can do this so it is going to be a bit difficult as channels or even individual producers don’t support this.”

She also said that she’s very good friends with Mahira, Aaminah and Sanam and the often talk about the fact that there should be more films on women.
