Sehar Khan is a brilliant Pakistani television actor. She debuted in the Pakistani media industry with Hum TV’s soap serial Sanwari. Sehar Khan also likes to sing. Her popular dramas include Farq, Rang Mehal, Zakhm and Fairy Tale. Her claim to fame serial was Sanwari but after Rang Mehal everyone started recognising her. Lately, Fairy Tale turned out to be the most talked-about venture in her acting career. Sehar Khan is quite happy with Fairy Tale’s remarkable success.
Lately, Sehar Khan gave interview to Amna Isani for Something Haute, in the interview, she talked about her successful drama Fairy Tale. Sehar Khan opened up about about rejecting the script, her chemistry with Hamza Sohail and the criticism on drama’s story.
Sehar Khan revealed, “I turned down the Fairy Tale script eight times initially. For me, it is very important to have a certain comfort level, although, I started my career from Hum TV, they used to offer me a lot but I was working with other channels. Mahesh Bhai did everything to convince me. Actually, I was doing another significant project, I was too busy with that, so, I refused the offer. However, the Hum TV team kept on calling me. Also, they told me that they only wanted me to do it, they said, ‘if you will not do it, it will go to someone else but then we will turn Umeed Pasha’s character into a mature girl’, then, I decided to give the script a chance. After reading it, I quickly changed my mind and accepted the role, I said, ‘it is for me and I will do it’.
Talking about her iconic and famous chemistry with Hamza Sohail, Sehar Khan said, “Well, it was a fresh pairing and thats why it turned out to be so likeable and good, I think we both are young, two young people can have a great level of energy. Also, people on our set had great energy. Hamza Sohail was very easy to work with. We were quite friendly with eachother, we developed a great comfort level, I think you need a certain level of understanding with your co-actors. You need to have a good off-screen camaraderie with your co-star. Now, we are so friendly with eachother”.
Talking on the criticism that Fairy Tale has no story, Sehar Khan said, “Fairy Tale is not a story based drama, it had no story, it is a situational drama, so it doesn’t contain that kind of intense story which every other drama has, we just acted in situations and it worked out well”
