Usman Mukhtar is a brilliant Pakistani actor and filmmaker. He has directed two critically acclaimed short films Gulabo Rani and Bench. He has also performed in hit drama serials Anaa and Hum Kahan Ke Sache Thay. Usman Mukhtar’s horror movie Umro Ayyar is all set to release soon. The impactful teaser of Umro Ayyar has just been released.
Recently, Usman Mukhtar has conducted a Question and Answer session with his fans. He revealed details about his upcoming film Umro Ayyar. He revealed that he’s playing the character of Umro Ayyar. He said that it is not the traditional adaptation of Umro Ayyar. To the question, “Can we say that movie is totally based on our childhood Umro Ayyar stories? Or is it changed?” Usman replied, “OUR STORY IS NOT A DIRECT/ADAPTATION FROM THE ΒΟΟΚ, IT SHARES A CONNECTION WITH ITS NARRATIVE. OUR STORY IS ENTIRELY ORIGINAL, ALTHOUGH IT DOES INCORPORATE CERTAIN ELEMENTS THAT ARE CONNECTED TO THE ORIGINAL BOOK”.
On a fan’s request, “You should do horror more man. You’re a good horror storyteller”. Usman said, “STILL LOOKING FOR FUNDING FOR GULABO’S FEATURE. ONCE WE GET AN EXECUTIVE PRODUCER ONBOARD, YOU’LL SEE MORE HORROR CONTENT”.
Talking about working with Naimal Khawar Khan, he said that he’s ready to work but the fans must ask it from Naimal Khawar Khan as well. Talking about doing another television project, he said, “I am waiting for a good script”. He also shared an unseen BTS picture from his drama serial Hum Kahan Ke Sache Thay.
