Afzal Khan became famous as Jan Rambo after he appeared in the PTV show Guest House. He went on to play many roles in several films before the industry went downhill. He has since appeared in many characters on television and also worked in several films post industry revival. Afzal Khan also appears in live shows and people associate him with comic characters.
Rambo was a guest on Mazaq Raat where he was asked if playing Jan Rambo had an effect on his career. He said that the character got him a lot of love and when you work in films, you get to do a lot of characters which was fine for him. But playing Rambo did affect his roles in dramas. Producers think of him only for comedy characters and he does not get serious characters which he wants to play.

Rambo also shared how once Sardar Kamal took Rambo dressed as a groom to Sahiba’s house when he wanted to marry Sahiba. Rambo was a bit nervous and Nisho Jee mocked him in a lighter way. This happened before he was married to Sahiba and Nisho was against this union.
