Amanat Ali is a big name in the world of music. He had a very organic journey. He appeared in a musical show in India and became a household name. He has sung many songs since then and his OSTs are also well-loved. His OST for Mere Humsafar was a mega hit recently while he also sang the OST Nauroz. Amanat Ali comes from a Musical gharana and has a strong grip on the language of music.
Amanat Ali was a guest on Masarrat Misbah’s show and he talked about the importance of teaching music to the kids and how our music industry has moved forward in the last few years. Amanat also said that though this is a difficult question but Pakistanis need to decide if music is allowed or not. He added that people are generally saying that music is haram but they listen to music themselves. All they do is not allow their kids to learn music.

Amanat also shared that as learning music is not considered a good thing in Pakistan, the audience does not understand good music either. He said that many people may have heard that many of our big music stars are here on a fluke i.e. “tukka” and they do not really have the talent for it. He said that many of the talented people do not get recognition because others are occupying their seats and they get to occupy these seats because the audience does not understand good music.
