Women rights and oppression against women are topics people are talking about now. Pakistani industry and content are also looking into the topic and we have seen more celebrities come out and talk about it and some dramas portraying the themes in a rightful manner. The global Me Too movement reached Pakistan too and some high profile accusations were made, top of the line being the case between Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar.

In the wake of the events, actress and director Angeline Malik has launched a movement named “Inkaar Karo, Hum Tumhare Saath Hain”. The movement is meant to raise awareness about social issues and talk about the oppression women are facing in our society. The movement has brought together some strong women who will be listening to stories of the victims, believing and supporting them.

Sanam Saeed, Sonya Husyn Sheema Kirmani, Ayesha Omar, Samina Ahmed, Tooba Siddiqui, Freiha Altaf, Sheema Kirmani, Arjumand Rahim,NA Ghazala Saifi, Uzma Noorani (WAF) (Panah), Rabeeya Seemul Latif (Founder Soul Bitches) , Farah Shah and Faiza Saleem are among the women who have joined the movement.
