Dr. Nabiha graduated in Psychology and often speaks about human psychology on various podcasts. Dr. Nabiha Khan’s first husband passed away years ago, and she has a son from her first marriage. In a recent podcast with Aroosa Khan, Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan and her husband Haris Khokhar were guests. During the podcast, both indulged in a heated debate regarding second marriage.
While talking about second marriage, Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan said, “A woman like me won’t stay in a marriage where her husband, despite all her love and efforts, chooses to marry another woman. However, if a woman can tolerate this betrayal, she should stay with her husband.” To this, Dr. Nabiha’s husband, Haris Khokhar, held her accountable for her pre-marriage statements on multiple marriages for men, saying, “You used to say that in Islam Allah has allowed four marriages. You said that in Pakistan there are more women than men and that multiple marriages for men should be allowed. Previously, when you were single, you used to urge men to marry. On one occasion, you even said that if men go for a second marriage, they should do justice.”
However, Dr. Nabiha said that she stated Allah has allowed it, but Allah also said that justice cannot be done. She added that this ends the debate, but if someone still wants to go for a second marriage, she would move on.
